Biographical or historical data
Enrolled at Surry Court House on 22 June 1861. Mustered into service 19 July 1861 at Smithfield, Virginia, and attached to 3rd Regt. Va. Inf. Reorganized in 1862 as an independent company, and served in Lt. Charles E. Lightfoot's Battalion of Artillery, which was composed of independent companies.
