Biographical or historical data
St. Michael's German Reformed Church was established as a Union Lutheran and Reformed Church in 1764. The name, St. Michael's, was adopted around 1828. Although the congregations had apparently separated at an earlier time, the Lutheran interest in the property was purchased by the church in June 1876, the year the church was constructed, paid for, and dedicated. The church is now known as St. Michael's United Church of Christ. For more information see, THE ST. MICHAEL'S STORY, 1764-1964: THE UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, Charles Herbert Huffman, 1964.
