Alexander J. Bondurant (1836-1910), of Buckingham County, Virginia, son of Thomas M. Bondurant (d. 1862) and Marcia Moseley. Thomas Bondurant was a farmer and owner of the Richmond Whig newspaper. Alexander also worked with the Richmond Whig, was a Professor of Agriculture at A.M. College in Alabama, and tobacco exporter.
