  • Anthelia Holt was born on 26 November 1861 in Matoaca, Virginia. She was the first of ten children born to Alpheus Jenkins Holt and Mary Ann Blankenship between 1861 and 1884. Her father and some of his siblings worked at the Matoaca Manufacturing Company where a rough, yellow colored cotton was produced. Sometime before 1880, Anthelia began working as a weaver at the mill. She worked there until she married Marshall Robinett in 1901 and moved to Norfolk, Virginia. Anthelia Holt Robinett died in 1950
