Biographical or historical data
Benjamin Hughes Perkins was born 22 October 1782 in Fluvanna County, Virginia, to Stephen Perkins (d. 1824) and Sarah Bowles Perkins (d. 1815). He moved to Kentucky in the early 1800s and married Hannah C. Burch (1780-1851) in Boyle County, Kentucky, and they had nine children. Perkins died 12 July 1844 and was buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Warren County.
