Biographical or historical data
Blanche Withers Carter Howard (1861-1946) and Elizabeth Clark Carter Adams (1867-1945) were the daughters of Martha Harriett Payne (1832-1875) and Marco Bozzaris Carter (1826-1874) of Campbell County, Virginia. Blanch Withers Carter married Volney Elwood Howard (b. 1854) in ca. 1882. Elizabeth Clark Carter married William Henry Adams (1862-1931) in 1893.
