Biographical or historical data
Charles Danne was born 9 April 1844, the son of Charles Danne (1808-1889) and Emilie F. Danne (1810-1867). During the Civil War, he served in Company F, 43rd Virginia Cavalry Battalion. After the Civil War, he operated a general store in Louisa County, Virginia. Danne married Mary E. Carter (1843-1922) 6 January 1871, and they had three children. Danne died 24 February 1932 and was buried in the family cemetery near Trevilian Station in Louisa County.
