Charles Ethelbert Willis was born 30 August 1858 in Morris County, New Jersey. A genealogist, he wrote A WILLIS FAMILY HISTORY and SCOUTS OF '76, A TALE OF THE REVOLUTIONARY WAR. Willis and his wife Emma Howard Willis had 2 sons. Willis died 6 June 1931 in Richmond, Virginia, and was buried in Parsippany, New Jersey.
