  • In 1909 S. C. Daniel was appointed trustee to oversee the assets of the Charlotte Banking and Insurance Company. After the bank became insolvent, Daniel was unwilling to assume the responsibility of administering the said trust without protection from the Charlotte County Circuit Court.
