Note
The "Cherrystone Inlet Light Station" (also called the "Cherrystone Bar Lighthouse") was built in 1859 near the town of Cape Charles on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. In 1920, it was loaded on a barge and brought to the docks of Cape Charles. It was, again, loaded on a barge in 1921 and towed to the Choptank River Light; then, it was renamed the "Choptank River Light." It was dismantled in 1964
