Biographical or historical data
Julia Edwards Woodson Saunders was born in 1873 in Richmond, Virginia, to Aylett and Frances Holdsworth Woodson. She married Wallace Coleman Saunders (1873-1948) 25 March 1896. She was active in several historical associations, including the Virginia Historical Society, the Confederate Memorial Literary Society, United Daughters of the Confederacy, and Daughters of the American Revolution. Mrs. Saunders also served on the board of Sheltering Arms Hospital. She died 2 February 1966 in Richmond, Virginia, and was buried in Hollywood Cemetery.
