Louise Ashby Almond was born 18 September 1911 in Lynchburg, Virginia. Almond worked in the medical profession in Richmond, Virginia, then became a legislative aide to state senator Eva Scott. Almond died in Kingsport, Tennessee 13 December 1990, and was buried in Spring Hill Cemetery in Lynchburg, Virginia.
