Anderson (1913-1991) of Charlottesville, Virginia, placing the wills and land grant in context of Dixon family genealogy. There are transcripts of the land grant and the wills. Biographical or historical data
John Dixon lived in Bristol, England. He owned land in Culpeper, Hanover, King George, King William, and Louisa Counties and Falmouth, Virginia which he left to his five sons in his will. One of his sons, Roger Dixon, resided in Fredericksburg, Virginia, where he was a merchant. Roger Dixon owned land in Albemarle, Culpeper, Louisa, and Orange Counties, and Fredericksburg, Virginia.
