Biographical or historical data
Charles Carter was a prosperous farmer in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. He married his wife Elizabeth 19 October 1786, and they had no children. Carter died between 25 June 1813, when he wrote his will and 6 February 1815, when it was probated in the Spotsylvania County Court.
