Biographical or historical data
John William Flannagan, Jr., served in the United States House of Representatives from 1931 to 1949. He was born in Louisa County on 20 Feb. 1885 and died in Bristol, Virginia on 27 April 1955. Charles Thomas Moses of Appomattox County, born 27 June 1897 and died on 17 November 1964, served in the Virginia State Senate from 1936 to 1964. He was chosen President Pro-Tempore in 1956.
