Biographical or historical data
Emily Lawson Hudgins was born on 5 August 1917. She was the daughter of Ernest Clifton Hudgins, Sr. and Dora L. Hudgins. She graduated from the Medical College of Virginia School of Pharmacy in 1939, and afterwards worked in the family-owned Hudgins Drug Company in Richmond. On 11 April 1942, Hudgins married Joseph Cloberry Williams, Sr. She died in Richmond on 19 December 1994, and is buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
