Biographical or historical data
Flavius Burfoot Walker, Jr., was born in Norfolk, Virginia, 13 March 1919. He graduated from the University of Richmond in 1939 and earned his law degree from T. C. Williams Law School. Walker began his law practice in Richmond, Virginia, in 1941, and also taught law and history at Richmond Professional Institute (now Virginia Commonwealth University). Walker was a member of the Richmond and Virginia bar associations. He was commander of Lee-Jackson Camp 1 of the Sons of Confederate Veterans and of the Army of Northern Virginia. He organized and commanded the George Pickett Chapter of the Military Order of the Stars and Bars. He and his wife Jane Duke Walker resided in Richmond. Walker died 16 January 1983.
