Includes handwritten reminiscences (n.d), photographs, discharge certificate, Bronze Star award certificate, and information from the American Battle Monuments Commission concerning his support of the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C. There is also a copy of a letter, 18 December 1944, written by Robert E. Nicholas (1919-1945), while he was serving with the 63rd Infantry on New Guinea, to his brother Marshall A. Nicholas (1924-2010). The Nicholas brothers were brothers-in-law of Harold R. Harvey

Harold R. Harvey was born in Hinton, West Virginia on 29 May 1919. He later resided in Arvonia, Buckingham County, Virginia where he was employed as a mail carrier. Harvey enlisted in the U.S. Army on 22 April 1941, and served as a platoon sergeant with the 28th Infantry Division.
