Biographical or historical data
Clement D. Fishburne was born in Waynesboro, Virginia on 26 May 1832. He enlisted on 21 June 1861 at Martinsburg and was mustered into the Rockbridge First Light Artillery, and was later detailed to the Ordnance and Quartermaster Departments. Fishburne was a graduate of Washington College (later Washington and Lee), and was a lawyer and chairman of the Board of Supervisors of Albemarle County after war. He died in Charlottesville on 16 May 1907 and is buried in Maplewood Cemetery.
