Biographical or historical data
Aylett Waller (ca. 1779-1820) and Absolom Waller (1772-1823) were the sons of Benjamin Waller (1749-1835) of Spotsylvania County, Virginia. Aylett Waller served as a colonel in the Virginia militia and commanded the 16th Virginia Regiment during the War of 1812. His brother Absolom Waller (1772-1823) was a Baptist preacher. He married first Lucy Jones and second Cicely Shelton. Nelson Samuel Waller (d. April 1869) was Absolom's son by his first wife. He became a physician in Spotsylvania County and was also a county court justice. Waller married Mary Hampton DeJarnette (ca. 1820-1901), and they had at 5 children. Judson Cary Waller was Absolom's son by his second wife.
