Biographical or historical data
John Tenant (Tennant) was born about 1735. He attended the College of William and Mary from 1753 to 1755, and later became a physician. Tenant resided in Caroline County, Virginia, and was a member of the Committee of Safety for the county during the Revolution. He was also a county justice. Tenant was married and had at least five children. Tenant died in 1815.
