Biographical or historical data
Joseph R. Foreman was born ca. 1839 in Ohio. He was mustered into the 126th Ohio Infantry on 4 September 1862, and was later promoted to corporal. He was discharged for wounds he suffered at Flint Hill, Virginia. After the war, Foreman was a carpenter in Carroll County, Ohio.
