Biographical or historical data
Anna Kagey Wayland was born 30 May 1831 in Shenandoah County, Virginia, to Jacob M. Kagey (1806-1864) and Barbara Neff Kagey. She married John Wesley Wayland (1829-1899) 25 April 1854, and they had four children. Anna Wayland spent her life as a housewife and homemaker, while her husband worked as a teacher, carpenter, and repairman. Anna Wayland died 5 April 1901 and was buried in the Kagey family cemetery in Shenandoah County. Her husband John Wayland died 23 April 1899, and was buried at the Trinity Reform Church cemetery in Rockingham County, Virginia.
