Biographical or historical data
Jules V. Gallimard was captain in the Corps of Engineers, commanding the Company of Sappers and Bombardiers under the act of May 17, 1861. The company saw duty around New Orleans and was sent to Fort Pillow. Gallimard's men were sent to Mobile, Ala. in 1863.
