Biographical or historical data
Lawrence H. Hoover was born 27 March 1906 in Rockingham County, Virginia. He attended Bridgewater College (B.A.) and the University of Virginia (LL.B.). An attorney, Hoover served as Commonwealth's Attorney for Rockingham County from 1940 to 1948. Hoover was a member of the House of Delegates from 1952 to 1965. He died in Rockingham County 10 December 1992.
