Biographical or historical data
George Lawrence (b. ca. 1634), his son John Lawrence (b. ca. 1660), and his son George Lawrence (b. ca. 1685) were residents of Nansemond County, Virginia. The latter's son, John Lawrence (ca. 1715-1796) married Pheribe Darden. Their son, Lemuel Lawrence (1744-1811) married Mary Wood. They later settled in Northampton County, North Carolina. Their son, Jonas Lawrence (1776-1813) married Charlotte E. Holland. Their son was Joesph J. Lawrence (1800-1864).
