Leroy Anderson Keller was born in Blackstone, Nottoway County, Virginia on 20 December 1916. He was the son of Joseph Earl Keller (1885-1965) and Edna Mabel Clay (1892-1981). Keller married Maria Nelson Gantt (1916-2000) on 30 August 1941 in Richmond, Virginia. He served with the 69th Infantry Division during World War II. After the war, Keller was employed by the Richmond Dry Goods Company for 64 years, serving part of that time as vice-president. Leroy A. Keller died in Richmond on 20 July 2000, and is buried in Westhampton Memorial Park.
