John Pratt was a citizen of London who had ties with several prominent colonial Virginians, including his niece by marriage Elizabeth Cocke Pratt Jones (1701-1762), Sir John Randolph (1693-1737), and Alexander Spotswood (1676-1740). Pratt died in London in 1731.
