Biographical or historical data
Nathaniel Howard Talbot was born in Massachusetts in 1831. A photographer, he enlisted in Company D, 43rd Massachusetts, a nine month regiment, 25 August 1862 and was mustered out 30 July 1863. He then joined Company B, 58th Massachusetts Infantry, ranking as a second lieutenant from 4 June 1864 and as a first lieutenant to date from 8 August 1864. He was mustered out 14 July 1865. Talbot returned to work as a photographer and eventually moved to Colorado. He and his wife Susan A. Talbot had at least two children.
