  • Contains a letter from Governor John Page, Richmond, to [Peter Johnston, Jr.], Speaker of the House of Delegates, enclosing various documents (labeled A-G) for the attention of the General Assembly. The Governor also writes that Creed Taylor has been appointed to the General Court to fill the vacancy occasioned by the death of Joseph Jones. Enclosures "A" & "B" are not included, but contained correspondence from Thomas McKean, Governor of Pennsylvania, regarding an amendment to the U. S. Constitution proposed by the State of Kentucky and an act to improve the navigation of the Ohio River
  • Enclosure "C" contains a letter from Cato West, Secretary of the Mississippi Territory & Acting Governor, enclosing a copy of a memorial of the Mayor, Aldermen, Assistants, Medical Faculty, and other Citizens of the City of Natchez, and also a copy of the law entitled "An Act establishing a Hospital in the City of Natchez and incorporating Trustees of the same." Enclosures "D" & "E" are not included, but contained a report to the Richmond District Court of the repairs necessary to be made to the Jail of the Court and a report of a Committee appointed by the District Court at Sweet Springs regarding the poor state of the jail
  • Enclosure "F" contains a letter from John B. Scott resigning his command as Brigadier General in the Virginia Militia to accept an office in the U. S. government. Enclosure "G" is not included, but contained a letter from John A. Chevallie requesting that a sum of money be appropriated to satisfy two decrees of the High Court of Appeals
