  • This accession, compiled by James W. Fisher, consists of genealogical notes concerning the descendants of Thomas Allanson (Allison) of Gaston (Lancaster, England) the father of Thomas Allanson, the first early settler in Maryland. The son Thomas Allanson was born ca. 1638 in Lancaster, England and was transported to Maryland on the ship "Leopold" in 1658. He died in 1677. A conjectural Allison pedigree chart lists the lines that settled in Charles, Frederick, Montgomery, and Prince George counties, Maryland; Habersham and White counties, Georgia; Burke County, North Carolina; Anderson and Spartanburg counties, South Carolina; and Chicago, Illinois
