Biographical or historical data
John H. Hobson was born 2 December 1814 to Benjamin Hobson and Sally W. Hobson, and became a planter in Powhatan County, Virginia. He married Harriet A. Allen (1823-1892) 8 January 1845, and they had two children. Hobson died in Powhatan County 16 February 1899.
