Biographical or historical data
Richard William Bushnell was born about 1820 to William Bushnell (1787-1845) and Polly Harnsbarger Bushnell (ca. 1790-1851) in Rockingham County, Virginia. Bushnell became a teacher and resided in Richmond, Virginia. He died 13 October 1858, dying 12 days after shooting himself while at the American Hotel in Staunton, Virginia.
