James Wesley Orr was born 19 June 1841 in Lee County, Virginia. Orr served as first lieutenant of Company E, 37th Virginia Infantry Regiment. After the war he was a sheriff, attorney, and judge in Lee County, Virginia, where he died on 19 May 1931.
