Biographical or historical data
Rosalie Harrison Pleasants was born in Richmond, Virginia, 6 September 1864 to John Adair Pleasants (1826-1893) and Virginia Cary Mosby (b. 1827). Rosalie Pleasants married William Wharton Archer (1854-1928), a prominent Richmond newspaperman, 24 May 1893, and they had four sons, three of whom lived to adulthood. Rosalie Harrison Pleasants Archer died 6 March 1945, and was buried in Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond.
