Biographical or historical data
John H. Hines (d. ca. 1918) and his wife Martha E. Hines (d. by 1936) resided in Nottoway County, Virginia, and they had five children, including Whittier R. Hines (1874-1940) who married George Maloy West (d. 1948) and had three children; and Walter P. Hines (d. 1935) who married Hortense Wise (d. 1935). Walter Hines was a Baptist minister who served Fortified Hills Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia.
