Biographical or historical data
Thaddeus McGhee Terry was born in Richmond, Virginia on 30 December 1891. He was the son of Joseph Coleman Terry (1844-1910) and Minnie Susan Alice Perkerson (1857-1922). Terry was living in Chicago, and employed as a telegrapher with the firm Clement, Curtis & Co. when he enlisted in the Army during World War I. He served with the 307th Field Signal Battalion, and trained at Camp Gordon in Georgia, and was later stationed in France. He returned home on 19 May 1919. Following the war, Terry lived in San Francisco, where he was employed by the Selective Service System. He died in San Diego, California on 19 December 1968.
