Summary
  • Records, 1647-1755, including communications from George Fox, letters and testimonials from prominent Friends of the area, minutes, marriage certificates, and records of births and deaths. The entries relate to Isle of Wight and Nansemond Counties. These records do not follow the usual organization of a monthly meeting record. This volume is widely known as THE CHUCKATUCK RECORD. For a published copy see, EARLY QUAKER RECORDS IN VIRGINIA, compiled by Miles White, Jr., 1977. (Accession 19960)
  • Typescript of THE CHUCKATUCK RECORD. Compiled by Mrs. Douglas Summers Brown. Arrangement of the typescript differs greatly from that of the photostat and is well indexed. (Accession 22471)
  • Records, 1682-1687, containing selected marriage records transcribed from THE CHUCKATUCK RECORD. (Accession 22369)
