Biographical or historical data
Elbert William Robinson Ewing was born on 22 September 1867. He was the author of numerous books, including "Northern Rebellion and Southern Secession" (1904), "Legal and Historical Status of the Dred Scott Decision: A History of the Case and an Examination of the Opinion Delivered by the Supreme Court of the United States, March 6, 1857" (1909), and "History and Law of the Hayes-Tilden Contest Before the Electoral Commission, the Florida Case, 1876-77" (1910). Ewing died on 26 June 1928 and is buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Falls Church, Virginia.
