Biographical or historical data
Captain Isaac Thompson served in the Virginia Navy during the American Revolution and was a vestrymen of Trinity Church. He married Prudence Dale and had two children: Robert and Ann. Ann married Captain William Moffat and had a daughter, Ann, who married George Washington Maupin (1775-1825), the son of Gabriel III and Dorcas Allen Maupin. Robert, married to a woman named Elizabeth, had four daughters and died in 1826. Isaac Thompson died around 1780. He and his wife are buried in Trinity Church cemetery.
