Biographical or historical data
The Timberlakes resided in Warren County, Virginia, and were wealthy farmers. Richard H. Timberlake (b. ca. 1802) had three sons, including John S. Timberlake (1833-1901). John S. Timberlake married Carrie Virginia Casllen (1840-1918) 1 May 1860 and they had at least three children. John and Carrie Timberlake are buried in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Front Royal, Virginia.
