Contains a letter from Governor John Page, Richmond, to [Hugh Holmes], Speaker of the House of Delegates, enclosing advice from the Council of State regarding the support of the widow & children of Sergeant Perry of the Public Guard. The Council advises six dollars in addition to the value of coal for the Public Guard from 1 October 1804 to 31 March 1805 for Sergeant Perry's widow. The Council advice was extracted from the minutes by Samuel Coleman, Clerk of the Council. Also included is a resolution for the committee to whom was referred part of the Governor's communication. The Committee resolved that it is inexpedient and unnecessary to make a special provision
