Carmichael of Fredericksburg, Virginia, to Francis Preston Blair (1791-1876), editor of the Washington GLOBE concerning a retraction printed in the Washington TELEGRAPH by Duff Green (1791-1875), over an invitation supposedly offered to Lieutenant Robert Beverley Randolph (1790-1869), who had pulled the nose of President Andrew Jackson (1767-1845), to appear at an event in Fredericksburg.
