Contains a letter from Thomas H. Wooding, Chairman of the Committee of Privileges and Elections, to Dennis McLaughlin regarding depositions to be used as evidence by the Committee to inquire into certain charges against him as a member of the House of Delegates. Also enclosed is McLaughlin's letter, dated 18 January 1810, regarding the receipt of his summons and the resolution of the House of Delegates directing an inquiry into charges against him. Lastly, there are three subpoenas from Thomas H. Wooding to the doorkeepers of the House of Delegates and the Sheriff of Powhatan County to summon individuals to appear before the Committee of Privileges and Elections and testify on behalf of Dennis McLaughlin
