Biographical or historical data
William Ritchie was believed to have been born in Scotland in 1820 in Scotland and to have died in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1890. He lived in Richmond, Virginia and Greenbrier County, West Virginia, worked as a silversmith, and owned property in and around Richmond, Lynchburg, and Clifton Forge, Virginia, and West Virginia. Lillie Tuckwiller, William's daughter, lived in Asbury, Greenbrier County, West Virginia and continued to manage the family property.
