His son, William Macon (1725-1813) lived in Hanover County until inheriting Mount Prospect. Colonel William Hartwell Macon (1759-1843) represented New Kent County in the House of Delegates from 1785 to 1788. Dr. Macon married Nora Criena Braxton (1824-1892) in 20 December 1848.
