Biographical or historical data
Harry Middleton Hyatt was born 21 February 1890 and grew up in Quincy, Illinois. He received his M.A. and D.D. from Kenyon College and Oxford University. Hyatt was a folklorist and genealogist, as well as an Anglican priest. He served as assistant rector for Church of the Holy Spirit in New York, New York, from 1951 to 1965. He returned to Quincy upon his retirement. Hyatt died 17 December 1978.
