Biographical or historical data
The McKinney family were residents of Trigg County, Kentucky. Samuel McKinney (1797-1857) married Charlotte Walker Rowlett (1801-1873) in Virginia. They later moved to Kentucky. Matthew Jouett McKinney (1822-1904) was an attorney, newspaper editor, and served in the Kentucky state legislature.
