Biographical or historical data
Halifax County and Antrim Parish were established in 1752 from a division of Lunenburg County and Cumberland Parish. The parish was divided in 1767, 1839, and 1895 to form Camden, Roanoke, and Randolph Parishes. St. John's Episcopal Church, in the town of Halifax, is a part of Antrim Parish in the Diocese of Southern Virginia. It was founded ca. 1844.
