Membership lists appear on pages 93-96 and are well organized (Accession 20338a); 2) Minute Book, 1803-1841, includes membership lists on pages 35, 57, 58, and 101-104 (Accession 20338b); 3) Minute Book, 1841-1860, including a historical sketch with a list of churches organized from Buck Marsh, including Bethel Church. Biographical or historical data
Constituted in September, 1771, in Frederick County, Virginia. It was originally named Buck Marsh Church. When Clarke County was formed from Frederick in 1836, Buck Marsh fell within the bounds of the new county. On 21 August 1841, the name was changed to Berryville Church, after the town in which it was located.
